Description
The Black Iguana or Black Ctenosaur is a large lizard native to Mexico and Central America. In Costa Rica, it is mostly found along the Pacific coast. These enormous Pacific slope lizards are unmistakable from any other in Costa Rica, with the single exception of its Atlantic side relative, the Green Iguana. This big guy (approximately 3 feet long) was making himself at home outside the lobby of a hotel in Manuel Antonio which is along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. His appearance near the entrance can provide a big surprise to first-time visitors. :)
