Description
Coneflowers, or Eichinacea, are prolific bloomers in my flower beds during the summer and attract many bees and butterflies. Echinacea is derived from the Greek word, echino, meaning sea urchin, due to the spiny central disk. Some species are used in herbal medicines but more commonly they are cultivated in gardens for their showy flowers.
