South Perkasie Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge located in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1832, and is a 93-foot-long (28 m) Town truss covered bridge. A lattice bridge is a form of truss bridge that uses a large number of small and closely spaced diagonal elements that form a lattice. It was patented by architect Ithiel Town in 1820 and 1835 as Town's lattice truss. The purpose of the a bridge being covered is to protect the wooden structural members from the weather. The South Perkasie Covered Bridge was moved to its current location in Lenape Park in 1958 and is the oldest covered bridge in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
