Artist's Description

In the Fall, leaves from trees lining creek banks, drift down to float downstream, or come to rest in shallow still waters among the creekside rocks. The blue sky reflecting in the water made a nice contrast with the yellow leaves and also helped accent the water tension circles formed at the end of each leaf stem.

On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation. To this day, being out in nature is balm for my soul and necessary for my well-being.
