Description
Goldenrods (Solidago) are common wildflowers throughout North America. They are most often seen in fields or along stream banks, but can also be seen in woods. All Goldenrods are late bloomers, flowering in late Summer into the Fall. Most species have spectacular displays of bright yellow flowers. The sun was spotlighting this stem of Goldenrod that I found growing along a local creek. An out of focus stem is visible in the background.
