Description
In the heart of McCloud, a town nestled at the base of Mount Shasta in northern California, is a beautiful log church that was built by the McCloud River Lumber Company in the 1930s. McCloud was a company-owned town operated by the The McCloud River Lumber Company until 1963. This quaint town, which sits at an elevation of 3254 ft on the southern slope of majestic Mount Shasta, has retained its 19th century charm and provides easy access to nearby recreational activities. Today the McCloud Historic District covers 130 acres and contains seventeen contributing buildings including this beautiful log church. Snow-covered Mt. Shasta is visible in the background
