Passion Flower is a woody vine with intricate blue, purple, red, or white flowers. Their vibrant colors and heady fragrance make the passion flower plant a welcome addition to any garden. They are found naturally from South America through Mexico. Early missionaries to these regions used the distinctly colored patterns of the flowers parts to teach about the passion of Christ; hence the name. I planted a Passion flower vine at the base of a fence in one of my gardens and have been enjoying watching the flowers bloom as they wend their way along the fence.

Nature has always played a significant role in my life. On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation. To this day, being out in nature is balm for my soul and necessary for my well-being. When I took up photography, I suddenly had a way to express my joy in nature by preserving the wonder I see, and then being able to share it with others.
