Description
I found this pretty little thing on the leaves of a Burning Bush. It was only about 1/2 inch long, but I have no idea what type of caterpillar or insect this is. Irregardless of what it is, the colors and designs on this little critter were, I thought, quite beautiful!
Edit: Thanks to Dorothy Pugh, who viewed this image, she believes it is a Spiny Oak-Slug Moth (Euclea delphinii). She says those spines can deliver a very bad sting, as is the case for all slug moths (Limacodidae family). Thank you, Dorothy!
