Description
Queen Anne's Lace (Daucus carota) is a common plant in dry fields, ditches, and open areas. It was introduced from Europe and naturalized in North America. Both Anne, Queen of Great Britain, and her great grandmother Anne of Denmark are taken to be the Queen Anne for which the plant is named. It is so called because the flower resembles lace. I took this shot from a ground level perspective, looking towards the sunlight. The lighting highlighted the flower and created some nice bokeh in the background. I did duo-tone processing for this image.
