Description
The Rialto Bridge is the oldest of the four bridges spanning the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy. Constructed in 1588, it is the third bridge built on this spot. Until the 1850s, this was the only bridge crossing the Grand Canal. Today, the Bridge is one of the top tourism attractions in Venice. Visitors line the bridge to get a sweeping view of the Grand Canal and the many varieties of boats that navigate its waters.
