Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena) is a medieval church in Siena, Italy, dedicated from its earliest days as a Roman Catholic Marian church, and now dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. The exterior and interior are constructed of white and greenish-black marble in alternating stripes, with addition of red marble on the façade. The facade is one of the most fascinating of all of Italy and a beautiful example of Sienanise workmanship. The work was mostly overseen by Giovanni Pisano, an Italian sculptor, painter, and architect.
Nature has always played a significant role in my life. On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation. To this day, being out in nature is balm for my soul and necessary for my well-being. When I took up photography, I suddenly had a way to express my joy in nature by preserving the wonder I see, and then being able to share it with others.
