Description
These lovely little wildflowers commonly called trout lilies (erythronium americanum) randomly pop up in shaded areas in the spring. This particular grouping was growing at the base of a dead tree strump. I isolated the clump with black velvet for this photo, as the evening sun was hitting some leaves and the flowers.
