Description
Vietnamese in traditional clothing enter the Temple of Literature in Hanoi, Vietnam, by the impressive two-tiered main temple gate, Van Mieu Mon. A brick pathway leads through the landscaped gardens to the varying courtyards of this preserved ancient compound. The Temple of Literature was founded in 1070, almost 1000 years ago, by Emperor Ly Thanh Tong as a temple to worship the Chinese philosopher Confucius.
