Description

Blooming Rhododendron bushes certainly are an eye-catching sight but I also was intrigued by this interesting, naturally-created still-life on a Hosta leaf beneath the bush. As the Rhododendron flowers open, the protective bud scales are discarded and fall to the ground, or in this case, are caught by a beautiful variegated leaf of a "Great Expectations" Hosta which is a large shade-loving plant that enjoys its spot beneath the Rhododendron bush.
