St. Mary Lake in Glacier National Park is absolutely stunning! Located on the east side of the park, the Going-to-the-Sun Road parallels the lake along its north shore and provides some of the most incredible vistas available in the park. This glacially-fed teal-colored lake is surrounded by huge, steeply rising mountains on three sides, with gently rolling prairie and forested hillsides (showing recent forest fire damage) found along its eastern shoreline, all dwarfing tiny Wild Goose Island near the center of the lake.

Nature has always played a significant role in my life. On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation. To this day, being out in nature is balm for my soul and necessary for my well-being. When I took up photography, I suddenly had a way to express my joy in nature by preserving the wonder I see, and then being able to share it with others.
