The lighthouse on Tybee Island, Georgia, is one of the oldest and tallest lighthouses in the United States. The bottom portion of the lighthouse dates back to 1773 and an additional 94 feet was added in 1867. Located next to the Savannah River Entrance, the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum is a popular landmark on Tybee Island.
