Description
The Fundy Trail starts just outside the town of St. Martins and runs along a portion of the southern coast of New Brunswick. The trail has been carved out of the Fundy escarpment, one of the last remaining coastal wilderness areas between Florida and Labrador. A paved parkway hugs the coastal cliffs for 10 miles, allowing access to many hiking trails, overlooks, paths to the beach, and picnic areas, which afford the visitor many spectacular views of the Bay of Fundy and the rugged New Brunswick coastline. At this time, the trail dead-ends but there are plans in the future to extend it through Fundy National Park to the town of Alma.
