Description
Native American Roses are wild flowering shrubs that provide full spectrum pollen for bees, nesting places for birds, and seclusion for small mammals. Introduced species roses have in many cases naturalized into the landscape so early that they are sometimes assumed to be indigenous to North America. In eastern North America, Rosa multiflora is considered an invasive species. While pretty when blooming, I am frequently digging out these plants by the roots as they readily spread throughout my flower beds.
