Description
The Chesapeake Bay, the largest estuary in the United States, is best known for its seafood production, especially blue crabs, clams, oysters and rockfish (a regional name for striped bass). Five-hundred million pounds of seafood are harvested each year from the Chesapeake Bay supporting the region's livelihoods and ways of life. Rock Hall Harbor in Rock Hall, Maryland, continues to be a working harbor with an active fleet of commercial watermen, charter fishing and commercial sailing boats who leave the dock each day. These crab boats docked near the Waterman's Crab House Restaurant, are ready for a new day of crabbing.
