Florence's massive cathedral is the geographical, visual, and historical center of Florence. The dome is a masterpiece of beauty and engineering, a pioneering construction for its time, and in many ways remains unmatched. Built in only 14 years, it was completed in 1436. Nature has always played a significant role in my life. On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation.
