With its gaslight lined streets and its quaint small-town Victorian charm, Wellsboro Pa. not only serves as the Tioga County Pa. seat, but is a stopping point for visitors to the Grand Canyon of Pennsylvania. A familiar landmark in the town is a cast bronze statue of children's literature characters Wynken, Blynken and Nod that was erected in the center fountain of the town square and was dedicated to the memory of Elizabeth Bailey, the wife of community leader Fred Bailey.

On walks with my dad when I was a child, I was taught to notice the world around me and appreciate the wonder of nature and all of God's creation. To this day, being out in nature is balm for my soul and necessary for my well-being.
