Description
This is one of 12 remaining covered bridges in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. They were covered to protect the bridges from the elements, but today the bridges are more at risk from vandals and from accidents (usually vehicles too high to fit through the bridge). Built in 1872, the Frankenfield Covered Bridge crosses Tinicum Creek only two miles upstream from where the creek flows into the Delaware River. This bridge is one of the longest covered bridges in the county. I chose a plain sepia processing except for the bridge.
