Description
Canals boats are anchored along the Cayuga-Seneca Canal behind the Visitor's Center in Seneca Falls, New York. Canal boats are available for tours or longer term rental for a relaxed vacation traveling along the canal and its locks. The Visitor's Center provides facilities for showers, etc. for canal boat travelers plus houses the Seneca Museum of Waterways and Industry. The 1844 Seneca knitting Mill across the canal is being refurbished to house the National Women's Hall of Fame. The Women's Rights movement had its beginnings in the town of Seneca Falls with the first Women's Rights Convention being held here in 1848.
