Description
Dysphania sagana, the yellow moth, is a nocturnal moth in the Geometridae family that is found in southern Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo. This colorful moth, which is about 3 inches in length, was spotted resting underneath a leaf along a trail in the dense Xeo Quyt Forest in southern Vietnam. The jungle-like Xeo Quyt Forest had been the location for a former headquarters of the Viet Cong during the Vietnam war which has since been reclaimed and become an important historical and ecological tourist site in the southern delta.
